One year ago today I was sealed for time and eternity in the Newport Temple to the love of my life...

Oh how I wish I could relive our wedding day all the time! It was the most perfect day and was more than I ever could have dreamed of. We felt so much love and support from our many family members and friends.
It is crazy to think how far Stuart and I have come since this day. Our love is so much deeper already.We know each other better than we know ourselves and have grown so much together just in this short time. It seriously amazes us. We look forward to years and years of memories to come...

4th of JULY

I am not too good at this blogging thing. Anyways, here it goes on me trying to catch up on the blogging world....(it might take me a while)....

Fourth of July was great!! Stuart and I debated alot on whether or not we wanted to actually into the heart of DC for the fourth. Luckily, we came to our senses though and decided we would give it a shot. I mean it could possibly be our only time that we re IN the nation's capitol on the fourth. In the morning we went to a brunch that our ward had at a park and were able to socialize and meet some more people! Even though it was right by our house we got WAY lost, typical us :). At the brunch we were so nicely invited by a couple families in our ward to go into DC with them. It was SO awesome. They knew exactly what they were doing, where to go, and even brought a TON of food. My picture does not do it justice..we had chicken, marinated green beans, fruit salad, bread, pasta salad, desserts....mmmmm.... Sis. Snow brought all the food and it was still all hot and delicious! I seriously was so impressed. We were two lucky people!! Then we all just hung out, played cards, games, took pictures, and watched an awesome firework show!!

More people. There was a live performance by Jodee Messina and it was great! Just everyone hanging out, singing, and being patriotic.

Basically the Fourth was awesome and added to our many fun adventures in DC!! Who knows...maybe we will have more fourths here! Being out here has really made us realize how lucky we are to live in this country :)

Lately

So here is the latest and greatest with the Langes...
We were able to go the US OPEN! It was a very cool experience. We both probably didn't appreciate it as much as some of the other golf enthusiasts there, but we were very happy to be there and be a part of it all. I had to fill Stuart in on who alot of the people were, I absorbed more than I thought from golf being on at my house all those years. The only disappointing part was how many drunk people were there. I would not have guessed that at a such a classy golf tournament.
Also I finally got to start my job!! I work at a summer camp as a counselor over a group of 7 year-olds. It is exhausting but I feel like I make a difference when I am there and it is so worth it. I love that they are just so honest and say whatever is on their minds.

"If Justin Bieber isn't married to Selena Gomez how could she be pregnant? You can't get pregnant unless you are married right?"

And then we got to go to a Washington Nationals game with Stuart's work. They invited all the Interns and new hires and bought us all dinner! It was really fun to be there and meet the people that Stuart works with. He works with a great group of people and we feel very fortunate.

D.C has just been great. We feel so lucky to be in our current situation and we are excited for the rest of the summer and what is to come.

This has been on my mind alot today. When I sit and think about all that Stuart and I have been blessed with in this life, I am overwhelmed. I have a tendancy to stress about the future lately, and I was reminded today of my blessings and that the Lord has a plan for us. On our road trip out here a family that we stayed with gave me some good advice when I was worried about not having work. She simply said to wake up and ask Heavenly Father what he would have me do today. I think if we all followed this advice a little more we would notice the Lord's hand in our lives easier. Life is truly a wonderful gift that we have been given.
