Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day has always been one of my favorite holidays. Stuart is the only person that I have ever been dating on Valentine's Day and I still have ALWAYS loved the holiday. This is because my mother always made it such a special day, we felt so loved. Even in college she would send me a big package of goodies and a little gift. We have this tradition in our family of ding-dong ditching on Valentine's Day. So you make your home-made valentines and then sneak outside to leave them on the porch, ring the doorbell, and then sneak back inside before people notice! Cheesy...but we love love love it! With my brother and his wife at the house and my sister coming over, it made for quite the party. Since Stuart and I still wanted to celebrate something just the two of us we went to BJ's and saw The Vow on Monday. It was perfect because we got to celebrate LOVE two days in a row! Valentine's Day was so great and I am looking forward to next year to decorate my own home (or apartment) to make the holiday feel special. These are traditions I hope we continue with our own little family!

Super Bowl Weekend

Stuart came home from work one day this week and said that we need to fill our weekends with more activities. So we did just that! So we...

Went to dinner at Angelo and Venici's with our friends John and Leah, we love them!! (This also met Stuart's request to eat at more Non-chain restaurants)

We went to the beach and ran, walked and looked at all the cute houses, went on the rocks to look at the crabs and starfish, laid out, played volleyball, ate lunch, and skim boarded. Oh and it was beautiful and 75 degrees in February. Have I mentioned that we LOVE being back in California?

We also went in the hot tub at Kat and Drew's, played with baby Hailey, and got Trader Joe's snacks and watched Moneyball.

On Sunday all my Dad's family came over to watch the Superbowl and we had a feast of food!!

GREAT weekend! Stuart approved.

Stuart turns the big 25!

Abby drew Stuart a map to Costco for his birthday. What a sweetie pie

VERY happy boy. I finally got him a remote control helicopter and I had no idea how happy it would make him. He has been randomly saying he wants one for a while now, but he LOVES it. Sometimes guys just need a fun toy!

Sweet baby Hailey fell asleep and would not let go of my shirt. So precious.

Stuart's work also bought him donuts and I met him for lunch at Chipotle at the Spectrum. It was a VERY successful birthday and I would say he felt very loved!
