Babymoon

So we did the most irresponsible thing we have ever done, and booked a last minute babymoon to Maui. Maui is where we went on our honeymoon and it was such a treat to come back and stay in the same hotel as well. We went for 8 whole days and it was absolutely perfect.  We had a fantastic time and it was so great to have my husband all to myself

for 8 whole days. Highlights:

Haleakala Crater-this was such a highlight. We got up at 3 AM to see the sunrise from the top of the Haleakala Carter at over 10,000 feet. It ended up being initially a bust because it was super foggy that morning but then it cleared and the view was amazing. Rainbows and sun bursting through the clouds, truly magical

Sprint Triathalon

So my husband and brother in law Drew decided that they would do a Sprint Triathalon. They needed something to train for and so they decided to do the sprint tri at Camp Pendleton. They did an awesome job and it was so fun watching them! They swam for 500m, biked (on mountain bikes) for 18 miles, and ran a 5k. They both did better than they thought they would and had a really good time. I was so proud of Stuart and can't wait to watch the next one...with a baby by my side ;)

3 years

Three years. Can't believe I have been married to my best friend for three years. It has been the best years of my life and I truly love this boy more than I ever could have imagined. In three years we have:

Lived in 6 places

Bought our first home

Found out we were pregnant

Graduated from college

Started Careers

Been on numerous adventures

And fell more in love every day

I am grateful for a marriage where I can be my true self and that I am married to someone who makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. 

We played it very low key this year, I told Stuart that I just wanted to pick whatever I wanted to eat right at the moment due to my pregnancy. So we went to Olive Garden and got Baskin Robbins and just hung out the rest of the night. It was perfect and I love any chance I get to spend with my man

Fourth of July

We had our first Fourth of July in Ladera and it was quite the experience. We actually started off the day barbecuing and swimming at my parents house. Then that night we headed back home to see what all the hype was about. It was so nice to just walk across the street to watch fireworks. They had bands, games, food, and a million people. It was wild but we loved the 25 min firework show! It was a great night and we look forward to years to come celebrating in Ladera

San Francisco

Back in the end of June we took a wonderful trip to San Francisco with my parents. My friend Thor from high school was getting married and so we decided to make a weekend out of it. We had the best time exploring Berkelely campus on Friday. It made me genuinely want to back to school. Then Saturday we all decided to bike the Golden Gate Bride and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. You start in the heart of San Fran, bike the bridge, and then finish off in Sausalito. The city is beautiful and even though it felt as if we were in a hurricane when we were biking on the bridge, it was completely worth it. We fell in love with the Bay Area and hope to visit again soon! That night was the wedding and it was absolutely beautiful taking place at a museum right in the heart of the city.
