DC - 1

This blogging thing is alot harder to keep up with than I thought it would be. I dont always feel that we have things to post about, guess I need to get more creative! Life has been good to us. We feel like we have grown so much together just from being out here. This new experience really has us rely on each other for everything, and it so wonderful. We feel so lucky to be able to be out here and have this opportunity. We just wish life would slow down sometimes! Where does the time go?? It is crazy. Also, we have not really made any friends out here yet, so that is our new goal. It is hard because there are not alot of people our age in our ward, even though we LOVE it, but somehow we will find some friends. (Really we LOVE the ward, AMAZING people)

So after living here for three weeks we finally went into the heart of DC! It was a blast. Besides it being sooo hot (seriously it is like you are in a sauna sometimes), it was so fun! We took the subway in. There is so much to do there and all we got around to doing was the Museum of Natural History, dinner, and the Capitol before we were exhausted. We walked a TON, but maybe we are just that out of shape :).

I am trying to be like the monkey skeletons behind us, since we are so similar

Whale

This was Hilarious to me for some reason. Comparing us to the monkeys! Because we all love to swing around like the little girl

These three skeletons are the steps to how a whale evolved. WHOA

jelly

Whale Mouth

Me and the long crab

This is the Hope Diamond. It is 45 carats or something. CRAZY.

Our Capitol

Everyone runs around the Capitol since it is on a hill. It really is a great place for a good run, it has a nice pathway all the way around and some good scenery.

No pictures of dinner but we ate at this really yummy burger place. Even though it was 7 bucks for a hambuger smaller than In-N-OUT, it was VERY good. For some reason I just can not get over the prices here. It KILLS me how expensive everything is. How do people live?? The Government must be taking all of our money and putting it to their fortune :)

  3. When you run into President Obama, please ask him to lower the hamburger prices. Thanks.
